Psst, remember me?
I’m sorry for the extended hiatus everyone. Unfortunately, this isn’t a return message, just a brief apology for being away for much long than I had hoped. I’ve been overwhelmed with personal things and I’ve had some technical problems with my computer, so hopefully in a couple of weeks when my finals are over, I’ll be able to take a breath and come back to To be a Lady.
I hope no one’s unhappy with me about it! Until next time, stay classy.
Dearest followers,
I’m afraid I will have to have another temporary hiatus. I’ve run out of posts, so while I make more, and while I get on top of my school work, I’m going to have to take a break from To Be a Lady. Hopefully I’ll be back in a week or two.
In the meantime, if anyone has any suggestions for posts and quotation, please submit them! At this point, this blog depends on you!
I don’t necessarily think that it’s wrong, but I certainly don’t think it’s a good idea. First and foremost, buying something that doesn’t fit you because you want to wear it someday is encouraging bad body images. You’re saying that you’re not good enough as you are now and putting stress on yourself and your body. Secondly, there’s a chance that you may never be able to wear it, which only serves as a reminder of failure (and a black hole for money you could have spent on clothes that you could have worn).
I think if you’re buying a dress to inspire yourself to be healthy, that’s absolutely fine. But if you’re buying a dress in a double-zero just for the sake of saying that you fit into a double-zero, or if the dress you want comes in a size that doesn’t fit you, that’s not OK. A lady accepts herself as she is and doesn’t change herself for anyone other than herself, much less a pair of pants.
